i am going to light myself on fire goodbye
Let’s all take a minute and appreciate how awesome this GIF of GLaDOS and Chell is?
(Found it on fuchsia’s blog. Meant to save that thing the first time around…)
Remember when this happened and people started freaking out saying that the animators are deserving of termination because they let this happen? I mean ever since this was revealed people claimed that Wreck-It Ralph was a piece of shit for letting such an error occur. Clipping is always completely unacceptable and the animators are an embarrassment to the industry. How dare this have a 165 million dollar budget and allow this to slip by.
Wait…that didn’t happen? Nobody cared? Because they love the film? Because it brought them so much joy? Because we know that the animators still tried their hardest to make this to the best of their ability evident by their wonderful scenery and fluid animation? Well fuck.
If you can’t see it there are actually two errors here. One is King Candy’s tongue clipping through his teeth. The other is what I think are unfinished eyelids lowering. That was not an artifact of the gif. I looked at the film and it was there. The teeth error was pointed out a while ago but I saw the post get 20 notes maybe? Not one of them was OMG THIS FUCKING LAZY ASS MOVIE.
Point is, if you’re going to discredit one film because of minor errors it’s only fair that you analyze others. Don’t just jump on films you don’t like because the errors confirm your suspicion of a crappy movie. If you were not one of those people but still are critical of Frozen’s errors then it would be better to do the same with others. I’m sure that Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph aren’t the only films with errors in them.
Both movies screwed up okay? Despite this error I still fucking love the hell out of this movie and this is still a powerful scene. I’m sure all the fans of this movie who have been getting on Frozen’s case will not lose their interest because of it. If you do then I’m sorry for ruining it for you but the truth sometimes hurts I guess.
Okay I promise I’m done ranting for today.
I also noticed a mistake during the scene of Ralph walkin’ with the cherries on GCS when Sonic is makin’ the public-service message thingy, his foot doesn’t completely end standing on his toe before going to the next step and it looks like he broke it or something, hahaha… but com’ on, mistakes are mistakes and sometimes they happen… but doesn’t “ruin” a movie XD Lookin’ for those silly things as a away to uncredit the quality of a movie is way stupid XD I mean… I agree with you, let that shit go XD
im just going to let ms flint feel for me from now on
I… Am a little guilty of being a Johnny defender. (Yeah, no duh.)
I mean, yes. He is the definition of prick (if you look carefully in the dictionary, his picture is right next to the word. XD), but I’m under a huge impression that most people in the fandom who DON’T like him see his as a sinister monster who’s straight-up vindictive. :\
Okay, let’s get things straight.
I was bullied at school. A LOT. In ways that makes the Oozma Kappa prank a light joke. So much that I isolated myself from the rest of the human race and it took me five years after finishing high school to start opening myself to others and stablishing friendships. And even in this day I can feel my blood boiling remembering all what I suffered back then.
That means that not only I shouldn’t like Johnny Worthington, I should despise him and his guts and decry him as the most evil character in Disney and Pixar’s history.
But as you all can see I don’t. I like Johnny. Quite a lot. More than enough to create a RP tumblr blog about him.
Why do I like Johnny? I’m going to be honest and say I don’t really know, and I feel most of Johnny’s fans are in the same situation as me. He somehow has a special charm and we can’t help to like that douche prep.
Now, in any way I’m going to excuse or forgive what he did in the movie and the lack of comeuppance beyong losing the Scare Games. Canon Johnny is a douche, period.
And even if Nathan Fillion’s theory (which is the one most of the fandom works around) about Johnny being like he is because of the influence and pressure of his father was true, that wouldn’t change what he did was wrong.
By liking Johnny Worthington I do not condone bullying. By accepting Nathan Fillion’s theory I do not excuse his actions.
Imagine The Monsters, you’re not guilty of anything. You just simply made a post that sparked my imagination. Rewritting ‘Let It Go’ was my own idea and mine only.
Benjjedi, you aren’t gulity of anything too. You did a superb job singing a cover nobody asked you to do. I loved it and I’m sure most of the MU fans did too.
And as for myself, I don’t feel guilty of anything. I did it just for fun and for everybody else to have a laugh with a botched rewritting of a (wonderful) song to fit it with a popular, but not canon, character interpretation of Johnny.
And to end this:
Johnny Worthington’s fans shouldn’t feel guilty for liking the character. Liking Johnny Worthington doesn’t mean one condones or excuses bullying. Like with any other character, the fans of Johnny Worthington have the right to bring alternate character interpretations of him. If you don’t understand or agree us liking Johnny Worthington, well, your problem; we won’t stop liking him because you don’t.
